Just about all razor grips for Shaving Your Head are based around the "ThreeFinger" ... the thumb on one side of razor handle and the forefinger and middlefinger on the other - sliding up and down.
Every HeadShaver will work out his own method.
Hair grows in all directions : frontwards : backwards : sideways.
It also depends on how smooth the HeadShaver wants his scalp. If it is to be glass smooth, then it is necessary to shave 'against the grain' - into the way  the hair grows.
For that important part of the head - the very front - actually every part is important - then it is a good idea to shave in all directions to remove that last vestige of stubble.
Shown here is the Mach 3 Razor which is excellent for that really smooth shave - but the author recommends the Schick FX Performer. It bends with the curve of the scalp.
Thanks to Stephen for furnishing his BALD! Head: surely one of the best looking ShaverBaldies this Millenium
