Wollongong Quokka's Melbourne '99 Slideshow: An Exercise in Idiocy

Appendix: Things you didn't see

Congratulations... you've reached the end of the tour!

Just to counter the idea that I spent my *entire* trip thinking about television, I thought I'd add a short sampling of some of the activities I didn't take photos of to round off the slideshow.

The photos are nicked off the web.

[Mount Macedon]

Mount Macedon Memorial Cross

As part of an afternoon touring areas North West and North of Melbourne, we drove to the top of Mount Macedon and enjoyed the always hazy view of Melbourne.

[Janet A. McLeod]

Janet A. McLeod's Janet 2000 Tour

We met Janet in the ABC Bar on the Friday night (she does audience warm-up for The 10:30 Slot) where she shamelessly promoted her own show. Lucky she did though - she got an extra two people on the Saturday night tour, bringing the total number of paticipants, including Janet herself, to five. It was a stormy Melbourne night and while this probably explained the low turnout, it was the perfect setting for the tour. Very lame, but great fun.

The picture was nicked off The Espy's Home Page.

[Ramsay Street]

"Ramsay Street"

...but who am I to call anyone else lame? Yes... happy to re-assert my role as the King Of All Things Lame, I had a drive out across Melbourne on the Saturday afternoon to the street that's used by Neighbours as "Ramsay Street". It seems so much smaller in real life...

That's it! Thanks for coming... hope you enjoyed yourself. :)
