This is a large, very impressive and rare Banquet lamp from the USA circa 1890’s made by Plume & Atwood Mfg. Co.. It is made from milk glass and delicately hand painted all over in the popular Blue Delft style of Dutch Windmills. The glass could have been produced by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company. The shade is very finely etched also with a windmill pattern which is repeated in three panels around the shade, it also has the brass protector on top to guard against damage from the chimney. Excellent working condition, all fittings are brass except the base being brass plated cast iron. The font is removable for filling. Height to top of shade is 30 inches (76 cm).
