"Congratulations on a first-rate
piece of scholarship.
I don't know whether I've turned
myself into a commodifier or whether I've opened a door to a broader
discourse about technology. I hope, of course, that the latter will
be the case.
You can find out about my new
venture via http://www.minds.com. We will certainly
point to your thesis as a key resource for people who are trying to
understand issues raised by CMC. Critical views are welcomed."

Subject: nice work!
Dear Alinta Thornton,
Just thought I'd write and say hello - and tell you how useful I've
found your thesis.
We used it for student seminars
in a course on Global Electronic Journalism and it worked really well
in defining the major issues/positions. It's also been helpful for me
as I try to apply my thoughts about the public sphere to the growing
domain of Internet.
Please keep me posted if you
write anything more.
Best regards,
Peter Dahlgren

Subject: MA Thesis
Hello... I saw a post from you
regarding your MA thesis on the cult-study list, and have only just
perused it. It looks like very challenging work.
I'd like to share another URL
for an essay that goes in a different direction, with different methodology:
http://www.uta.edu/huma/enculturation/ Spring 1997 issue, my essay "'Help
manners: Cyber-democracy and its Vicissitudes." Thanks for
sharing your URL.
